We love to welcome visitors to the farm for our workshop days. Many of our repeat guests say they keep coming back, not only for the fun of the day, but because we are such great hosts and for the relaxing yet productive day in a lovely environment....'ahhh...shucks'
With 36
alpacas to feed and a crafter’s skill, I have spent the last 6-8 years working
with alpaca fibre and discovering ways to felt this wonderful product.Through research, trialing and constant
reflection, my method of felting is all about the practical, the realistic and
the beautiful…and it is always about alpaca! From bags, to clothes and through to art pieces, my work reflects my
ideas on sustainability, creativeness and illustrates the unique properties of
alpaca fibre and how it supports our felting partnership.
Wherever possible we use locally sourced, second hand, vintage and recycled products.
We spend many happy hours searching for the buttons and braids, ribbons, fabrics, fibres and fleeces that go into every Craft-ee Wenches kit.
Alpaca are native to south America yet the ones who have produced the fibres in your pack live with Cheryl & Robbert Cook at Quilca Farm in Gippsland, Victoria.
We hope you have as much fun using our products as we have had putting them together.
